Most of you know by now I am moving at the end of the month to Nevada. I should have packed up all my craft stuff by now but we ran out of boxes. :p (that is my excuse for right now anyways) I was trying to clean up my desk last night and I could not stop thinking about this gorgeous paper. The Prima Nature Garden. I HAD to create something with it.

I created this layout for the March Sketch over at Once Upon A Sketch

I used the Nature Garden paper along with some embellies from the collection as well. I used some gorgeous lace from Wild Orchid Crafts along with some flowers. I used some Lindys to color the flowers silver and black. I sprayed the Prima vine with Lindys as well. I used a Crafters Workshop mask to paint the bricks. I painted them in a creme then put a crackle paint over. I also did the same with the clock die cut. I used some grunge flowers that I got from Jules in the cameo album set. They are so perfect to slip in for some layering. The doily on the left is from my friend Miranda. I also did a little bit of fussy cutting. The sketch was super fun but I had to twist it a little bit hehe!!

*****HIDDEN JOURNALING
This brought me out of my comfort zone as one of the requirements is to journal. Most of you know that i do not journal. Ever! lol. But I Journaled on the back. It basically is saying how much I miss her when she was a newborn and I already miss her as she is now. If that makes sense lol. I am not sure why I don't like journaling. Doing the hidden journaling i think is the best and then i won't regret not doing it later. As you can see I have horrible handwriting and i am a horrible writer too.

I used mostly items from the Tech kit or the main kit. The Canvases are from Canvas Corp and the paper inside the suitcase is from Canvas Corp as well. The paper on the outside of the suitcase is Glitz Designs. My suitcase is super shabby. Lots of lace and Distress stain in picket fence.

Hope you get inspired.

Flower Tutorial

Just making a quick post about my flower tutorial over on Swirlydoos.

Happy Tuesday everyone.

I am bringing you a project I made for MBT. I am entering it in the Glitz blog challenge. Wish me luck! :)

For the layout i used my new FAVORITE paper the Glitz Pretty In Pink. I can not get enough of this paper. After I made the Album using this paper i knew i needed more lol. you can see the album here.

I kind of strayed a little bit with the colors but its pretty close. I am not one to stay in the lines of a challenge haha!!

I used a old Once Upon A Sketch....Layout sketch. I think it was perfect for this layout.

I distressed all the edges with my Prima tool. For the large scallops i used my Cricut to cut them out. It is a Cake basics cartridge. I just layered some gorgeous lace found at MBT. On top of that is a layer of paper that i used my Martha Stewart punch on. I used my Spellbinders lacey circles die for the circles. I layered some gorgeous flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. I sprayed them with some Lindys Gossamer gold and pink chalkboard spray. It is titled "Gorgeous Face" My 5 year old son calls her that. Its so cute. hehe!!! The letters are from Websters Page. I used some Recollections bling. I also used some cute small acrylic flowers from MBT. I clustered some flowers where i put some Kaisercraft die cuts...this was for the blue color hehehe!! Also on my layout is some Wheat sprays and a acrylic spray with bead cap. I curled up the edges of the scalloped edges to give it more dimension. I also clustered some of the gorgeous Acrylic flowers with the organza and bling from MBT. The tag on the left in the cluster is from MME. To finish it off I used the other end of the lace to make a border for the picture. (can't waste any of that lace hehe)

Sorry I was all over the place for that layout description haha!! There was a lot going on. I hope you enjoyed my layout. I hope you have a fabulous week.

Make sure to check out MBT Store and blog.

The paper I got from Yourscrapbooksupply.
