Be You. Mixed Media Canvas

Hi everyone. I have something a little different to share today. 

I have been slowly getting into mixed media.... well last night I dived right in. I am HOOKED!! I have been so intimidated by sprays and inks and different mediums. I also have been drooling over some gorgeous mixed media canvas's I have seen lately. 

I was watching Limor's ustream and as always she totally inspired me to make my own. 

I was also inspired by Luvlee Scrappin She has fabulous start to finish canvas videos.

I used a district market canvas to start. I figured if anything the background on it already is nice to if I got scared I could just use minimal inks.... I also used Prima masks and molding paste. Computer parts, Manor House Flowers.... Leaky Shed chipboard. canvas resist peices.... I used so much goodies on here. I then went over it all with Gesso. Then I began spraying..... I started on the outside first with the darkest color and worked my way inward and then adding some yellow and blue. 

I love how it turned out. I made it for my son.... He was so amazed when he saw it and asked if he can hang it in his room..... how sweet right??

Cards for DPC.

Hey everyone. 

I have a few cards to share with you. 

I made these cards using products I received from Discount Paper Crafts. It is the My Minds Eye Memorable collection. It is so cute. I think it is perfect for fun cards. Altered bird cage.

Hello everyone. I hope you are having a fabulous day. 

I have a altered bird cage to share with you. I am in a swap group on Facebook called Shabby chic crafters. This month we had to alter a bird cage. It was so much fun. 

I used the Prima fairybelle collection along with some gorgeous ribbon....chipboard pieces and flowers. 

I put the bird cage on  a glass candle holder. I did paint the birdcage itself as well.

Family Love. February Once Upon a Sketch.

Hey everyone. I hope you all are doing well. 

I have a layout to share. I made this layout for the February Once upon a Sketch challenge. (hidden Journaling) I got the new Prima Engraver paper collection and I had to break it out and play with it. I knew when I saw the theme for this months sketch I could finally scrap this picture of my kiddos. 

I had alot of fun making this layout. I used all Manor House Creations flowers. Most all the products I used I purchased from Discount Paper Crafts. 

As you might know OUAS you have to journal and I don't like my hand writing so I of course hid it in the layout. I was so emotional when I was trying to think of what to journal....so I kept it short and sweet. I can not describe the feeling I get when I find my son reading to my daughter..... or I can hear them laughing and playing. It warms my heart to know that they will forever be friends.

Leaky Shed Studios album meets Prima Divine paper.

When I first saw this butterfly album I knew I had to have it! It is super gorgeous. I thought the new Prima Divine papers were so perfect. I love how it turned out.

Hello everyone

I have a project to share. I have made a item for my friend. I wanted to do something different with the configuration box. 

I made this for a friend. I used alot of products from TPBP. Here is a list of items and the links where you can get them.

I got the inspiration from Beverly and Miranda. Miranda had done this amazing tutorial on how to make a hot air balloon. Beverly then made one but put it on a canvas. I knew I wanted to use this smaller die cut to put in the middle of the configuration box. I think it turned out super cute.
